Lower Prison is overall a very simple Layout, once you understand its rule set. To identify the layout you are in, first check the North-East Path. If it is a Dead End, you are guranteed in the East Variant, seen in Image 1.
If it is not a Dead End, but the Trial is in a straight line from Waypoint, the Exit is in the South-West Corner. If you have fast loading Screens, it is faster to log and go from the Waypoint, otherwise you can walk East first, then get to the Exit in a straight line. (Image 2)
If you see the Trial, but it is facing North-West, same direction the Entrance is to the Waypoint. Then the Exit will be in the far East Corner. Like in Image 3.
If the Zone does a L-Turn east, follow the Zone to see the Trial, the Exit will be in the South-East Corner after the Trial.
Finaly if you do not see the Trial when going North-East, but the Zone continues, the Trial will be in the East corner of the Zone. There are 2 Sub-Variants. Fair ones and Super Scuffed ones. In a Fair one you will see the Exit, then can turn East to get to the Trial and after completion walk directly to the Exit. Seen in Image 5. But in the Scuffed one it is better to log out, even with long loading screens, as the Trial is in a massive Dead End. Seen in Image 6.
